What does "65 lb." cardstock mean?

65 pounds represents the weight of the cover stock. Paper weights can be confusing to understand. In general, when comparing cover stock (cardstock) weights, higher weights will indicate cardstock that is more sturdy, heavier, and harder to fold. Our 65 lb. cover cardstock is about the weight and thickness of a typical index card or lighweight business card.

We find that 65 lb. cardstock is versatile, and typically the most appropriate cardstock for crafting and project use. It is thin and light enough to be folded with relative ease, and can also be run through most home printers. However, it is sturdy enough to hold up to nearly any craft project, and can be used for scrapbooking, cardmarking, and for most other typical needs.
